Chakra Journey - Crown Chakra

đź‘‘ We have reached Crown Chakra this week - Sahasrara - the final chakra which denotes our link to the divine.

đź‘‘ We explored what “divine” can mean - maybe a religious God if you follow a religion.  What I love about Yoga is that it offers an opportunity for everyone no matter what religious views to take a deep dive into the spiritual side of life.  I don’t follow a religion as such even though my Dad was a vicar, so for me divine is the power of love, the wonder of nature, the magic awesome existence of the universe as it is. A higher power of some sort, even if I don’t truly know what that is.

👑 We explored the link between the crown chakra and the fifth Nyama “Ishvara Pranidhana” - which means surrender to the divine. I like to see this as setting an intention to dismantle resistance - to try to be open to explore what might be true, and to keep my heart, mind and soul open to all possibilities.

👑 “God” can be love, nature, or the way we are all connected in this world and we are all one consciousness.

👑 “Namaste” means “ the divine in me honours the divine in you”. In other words, we all have a bit of God inside us.

đź‘‘ We celebrated moving our physical bodies whilst honouring our life force, our prana - the magical inexplicable energy that makes our collection of skin and bones and cells so much more than a physical body.

👑 There’s no pot of gold at the end of the Rainbow Chakra journey but the whole path is paved with gold along the way. We have released, forgiven, loved, healed, gained strength, expressed ourself, reflected, and moved forwards. Ready to repeat over and over in this lifetime.
